Article idea:

To what extent is the underfunding of public schools responsible for creating an apathetic citizenry? How do the social conditioning and rigidity of thought fostered by these institutions contribute to a public already predisposed to passivity by mass media and hyperstimulation? Many teachers have told me that GWB's "No Child Left Behind" Act only reinforces the anti-creative environment in schools. Can I believe that this country's educational policy is being intentionally steered towards the abolition of free though? Are the lizards this crafty?
